* A demonstration set (dSK10)

* 2 cables for the RS485 bus connection between dSS and dSM

* An ethernet cable to connect the dSS to the network

* a DHCP server running on the network

* A PC/Laptop running Windows

Steps needed:

1 - Connect dSS unit to the network:

Use an ethernet cable to connect the unit to your network. In order to get an IP address, a DHCP server must be present in the network.

2 - Connect dSS unit to the dS 485 bus of the dSM

Use a twisted pair of wire to connect the green and grey terminals of the dSS and dSM

3 – power up all dSM devices and the dSS device, wait until all units show a green light.

1 - On your windows PC, go to ‘My Computer -> Network’. In the section 'Media Devices' you’ll find an entry dSS11. In 'properties' you’ll find all relevant information ( IP address, device webpage, MAC address)
