We are happy to announce that release 1.2.0 has now been pushed into our update servers. As a special goodie for all Android users out there we have also released the first version of the Android digitalSTROM application. You can look for it on the Android Market under the digitalstrom keyword.

We are happy to announce the availability of dSS 1.0.1. Besides the update of the version string and a minor fix in the install make target, this is an unmodified version of release candidate 2 which has proven stable in our testing.

To simplify generation of SOAP bindings, the latest WSDL file has been uploaded to:

Some statistics: there have been 44 changesets since the last stable release (1.0.0) and a total of 1705 commits since the beginning of the project on April 4 2008.

At the digitalSTROM.org developer day on 15. January 2010 the digitalSTROM Server (dSS) has been published as OpenSource. It's clone-able from our public git repository. Have a look at our wiki page about the Git repository to learn how.

The dSS project has two major lines of development now. The first one that was the origin of the project is called «*dSS comfort»*. It takes care of all the basic functionality the dSS is responsible for like offering an API for the dS enabled apartment, allowing to define timed events, scripting support to modify standard behaviour and so on.

The second line of development referred to as «dSS metering» is focusing on gathering metering data (especially from non-dS meters) as well as subjects like associating an appartement with an electricity provider and delivering smart meter data to this utility according to a contractual agreement.
