Implemented in general, however I just discovered a rather tricky problem: when initially installing u-boot, the u-boot environment is empty, thus it cannot be modified; this will cause the update from Linux to write just the default environment to the env partition, which is all wrong. This must be properly analyzed before deploying new u-boots
